Youth Amateur win title

Imphal, Dec. 30 : Youth Amateur Welfare Association (A), Singjamei won the 2nd state-level Dr L. Bhagyachandra Singh trophy men’s sepak takraw championship at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai here.
In the final match today, Youth Amateur Welfare Association (A) team defeated Manipur Police Sports Club (B) team 2-1.
In the first set, Youth Amateur had a comfortable 21-13 win. However, Manipur Police rallied back strongly to take the second set 14-21.
In the deciding game, both teams battled hard for glory. But it was Youth Amateur Welfare Association who prevailed in the end to win by 15-11 points.
Youth Amateur Welfare Association were richer by Rs 10,000 along with the trophy, while Manipur Police Sports Club had to settle for the runners-up title along with Rs 5,000.
The best disciplined team title was awarded to Public Union Club, Kairang while Kh. Niken Singh of Youth Amateur Welfare Association was adjudged the best player of the tournament.

Keinou Library and Sports Association annexed the 4th Players Trophy Kang Championship organised by Yaiskul Kangkhut at Shri Gopal Dev complex at Yaiskul.
In the final match played on Sunday evening, Keinou Library defeated hosts Yaiskul Kangkhut by 30-13 points for the title.
Along with the title, Keinou also walked away with the best chekphei title by Janeshor Singh and the best lamtha title by Bimolchandra Singh.
The lifetime achievement award was conferred on Amuthoi Singh of Laco Kangkhut.
