The loans were disbursed to 2,746 beneficiaries under Kisan Credit Card, DRI, Micro and Small Enterprises, Self help goups, education, housing and other priority sector categories, according to a press statement issued by the bank.
United Bank has about 155 branches in Tripura, according to Mr Bhaskar Sen, Chairman and Managing Director, United Bank of India. The bank plans to organise regular credit delivery camps in the state as a part of strategy for increasing flow of credit to the priority areas of the government and for improvement of credit-deposit ratio of the State, he said.
Training centre
The bank has set up one R-SETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) at Udaipur, Tripura, in order to impart skill and entrepreneurship development training programme to the underprivileged rural youth, women and SHGs free of cost.
