The fourth bridge on the mighty Brahmaputra, which will connect the Assam districts of Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh, will be ready by early 2014.
Assam Industry Minister Pradyut Bordoloi said while the state government has taken up the issue of slow progress of work on the Rs 1,767-crore bridge, the Railways, which is implementing the project, has informed that once the foundation works are ready, it would take only four more years.
The 4.3 km rail-cum-road bridge will be the longest on the Brahmaputra.
