Tripura Governor visiting Nagaland

Kohima, Jul 19 : Tripura Governor Padmashree Dr Dayandeo Yashwantrao Patil, along with his family, is on a three-day visit to Nagaland.

Official sources here today said Dr Patil, along with his wife, daughter and son-in-law, is on an unofficial visit to Nagaland and arrived at Dimapur on Saturday and attended a function at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district of Assam, bordering Nagaland's Dimapur, on Sunday morning.

After the function he arrived Kohima yesterday by helicopter and stayed at the Raj Bhavan.

Yesterday he visited the 5 Sector of Assam Rifles at Tsiesema on the outskirt of Kohima under Northern Angami Region.

Today, Dr Patil and his family members visited the World War II (two) Cemetery and Nagaland State Museum and some other places of interest in and around Kohima.

He is likely to leave for Agartala tomorrow.
