MLA from Pughoboto, Joshua spoke on the occasion and expressed his gratitude to all the officers fro their continuous support and cooperation in implementing developmental activities in the Sub-Division. He also briefed the members about the three issues presented by the SDPDB.
After a detailed discussion the meeting decided that the nomenclature of Pughoboto Sub-Division sports tournament would be ‘Sumi Aphuyemi Sports Meet Pughoboto’. The meeting also adopted a resolution to ban killing/hunting of wild life for three years and use of chemicals in the rivers under Pughoboto Sub-Division.
The meeting also decided that all the villages under the Sub-Division earmark their community cemetery and to submit reports on the matter to ADC Pughoboto within 6 months. The meeting was well attended by the Village Council Chairmen, members, VDB Secretaries, GBs, church leaders, public leaders, NGOs and all the officials from Pughoboto Sub-Division.
