Spotlight On NE during ISC Session

Shillong , Dec 31 : The rich socio-cultural heritage and bio-diversity of the northeastern region would be on the spotlight during the  India   Science   Congress session to be held here from   January 3.


" Delegates and participants who would be coming from outside have already told us about their desire to visit places like Kaziranga National Park and Cherrapunjee during their stay," North East Hill University (NEHU) Vice-chancellor of Pramod Tandon said.

Over 4,000 participants from countries like US, China, Japan and Bangladesh are expected to attend the five-day meet that will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on January 3. The participants would be state guests.
