Official sources here today said the personnel on duty noticed four suspicious people moving towards Khriehulie Basti hurriedly with some bags yesterday.
They were tracked down and when they entered a house, a police party raided the house and recovered the explosives from their possession.
All the accused are from Mizoram, but presently residing in Dimapur. They reportedly informed the police that they procured the gelatine sticks and fuse wires from Silchar in Assam.
Police also recovered some Army uniforms from the house, which police suspect that they were using to transport the explosives from place to place.
Police investigation was on to ascertain the purposes of the accused people and to apprehend the entire smuggling gang, sources said.
