Two NDFB militants killed in Assam

Guwahati: Two National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants were killed and a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered in Assam on Sunday, following tight security measures in the run-up to Republic Day celebrations.

Police said one NDFB militant, belonging to the anti-talks faction of the Ranjan Daimary faction, was killed in an operation by the police and Army at Sessapani under Kokrajhar police station.

In another incident, another NDFB militant, also of the anti-talks faction, was killed in an encounter at Majbat in Udalguri district.
