Another aspect of the tourism growth that they were impressed of is that of preservation of culture and traditions by the local people besides preserving the environment and bio-diversity. Amar and Yomngam attributed the success of tourism in the State as hospitality of the people, respect for rule of law, strong support from Government and other agencies. They expressed their confidence that Arunachal with its wonderful culture, bounties of nature and rich bio-diversity and can also become a hub for domestic as well as international tourists in the coming days.
The three day programme was sponsored by the State regional office of NABARD, Itanagar and organized by Bankers Institute of Rural Development Lucknow in collaboration with Sikkim based NGO, Eco-tourism and Conservation Society of Sikkim (ECOSS), and Khedi Eco-tourism and Eco-Development Promotion (KEEP)
