Extremely heavy rains likely in Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan

Pune, Jul 5 : Extremely heavy rains may lash most places in Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka.

Torrential showers may hit many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala and Lakshadweep, while heavy rain are likely to occur at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers may hit many places in east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, south Gujarat, Marathwada, few places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Gujarat, Rayalseema, north interior Karnataka and isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

The Southwest monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka. It has been subdued in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Tamil Nadu. Heavy to very heavy rains lashed most places coastal Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Konkan, Goa and many places in Madhya Maharashtra, south interior Karnataka and few places in Gujarat.

Rain or thundershowers hit most places in Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Marathwada, Lakshadweep, few places in east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, isolated places in Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Telanagana and Tamil Nadu.
