Demand CBI Enquiry on Brutal Killing of Yengkhom Krishnadas

The Condolence Service will be held at KMC College on June 21

Joint Action Committee Delhi Unit against the brutal killing of Yengkhom Krishnadas Singh demands the CBI Enquiry on the gruesome killing of social worker Yengkhom Krishnadas. The bereaved family members and the people demanding justice for Krishnadas has lost trust in the Shri O Ibobi Singh Government and state police forces. There is no concrete steps taken by the state government and state police forces in spite of the clues leading to the culprits have been already traced.
Smt Yengkhom (ongbi) Bimola, the wife of the deceased have outcried in the presence of over 15,000 public and media on June 14 at Kakching Naohalai Lampak that the arrested accused Ashalata is the one whom she handed over the ransom of Rs 25 lakhs for the safe return of her husband.
The recent development of the arrest Th. Nando with mobile handset and SIM cards used inside the jail, who is also languishing in Sajiwa Jail in connection with kidnapping and murdering Lungnilla Elizabeth, the daughter of former Education Minister of Manipur Government, indicate the loopholes of the state government and police forces.
Accused Th. Nando who is languishing in the Sajiwa Jail could never carry the gruesome killing of Krishndas without outside connection and the police authorities in Sajiwa Jail.
There is not trust in Manipur Government and Manipur police to find the actual culprits and give justice to deceased and his bereaved family members. Therefore, JAC, North East Support Centre & Helpline, All India Christian Council and All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations demand the CBI Enquiry on the brutal killing of Krishnadas.
The Justice delayed by the O. Ibobi Singh Government is justice denied to the deceased and his family.
The home department is under the care of Honb'le Chief Minister of Manipur. There is no control over the law and order in Manipur, the central government must look into the issues of the human rights violence taking place uncontrolled in the state of Manipur.
The condolence service for Yengkhom Krishnadas is organised at KMC College, Delhi on June 21, 2009 at 5 PM. The students from different states of North East India and communities along with civil societies, social workers and activists are requested to join the condolence. The family managed to fix Rs 25,00,000 with kidnappers and handed over the amount next day for the safe return of the deceased.
