Sikkim is situated in the eastern Himalayan areas of India. It became the 22nd state of India on April 26,1975. it is the second-smallest in area. The state has four districts and three major groups of habitants ; Lepchas ,Bhutias and Nepalis. The official language of the state is English, but Nepali is also spoken by a large number of people.
