Non-Cong parties meet for President's Rule in Meghalaya

Guwahati, Mar 23 : Nationalist Congress Party, which launched campaign for the imposition of president’s rule in Meghalaya  met non-Congress parties here on Sunday.

NCP leader P A Sangma , who is on a campaign, chaired the meeting. He is garnering support for NCP led Meghalaya Progressive Alliance (MPA) government after the imposition of President''s Rule in Meghalaya despite the Alliance winning a trust vote on the floor of the Assembly.


He had also met leaders of national parties in New Delhi and had threatened of sitting on an indefinite hunger strike if the president's Rule was not revoked.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Asom United Democratic Front (AUDF), BJP, Bodoland People's Progressive Front (BPPF), Nagaland People's Front and Manipur People's Party (MPP).
