He was 75. Mr. Keny who had been the Editor of Sunaparant a konkani daily till 1989 was recipient of Sahitya Academy Award for his novel "Vhankal Pavni".
He was also the President of the 11th All India Konkani Sahitya Parishad held at Mangalore in 1976.
Mr. Keny was instrumental in giving a new dimension to the short story literature in konkani.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday evening. People from all walks of life have condoled the death of Mr. keny.
