The NSWC has felt it necessary to have a wide consultation with representatives of woman organisations since Commission rejected the resolution adopted in the January 29 consultation held by Nagaland assembly secretariat, NSWC sources said.
The 108th Constitutional (Amendment) Bill 2005 proposed 33 per cent reservation for women in parliament and state assemblies.
NSWC had recently said that the resolution adopted in the meeting of All Parties Co-ordination Committee did not represent the entire state because prominent bodies such as Naga Mothers Association (NMA), Eastern Naga Women Organization (ENWO) besides NSWC and woman wings of political parties were not invited to January 29 discussion.
